183 Cal U student-athletes have been honored for their achievements on the field and in the classroom.
A total of 183 California University of Pennsylvania student-athletes, representing
all sports (fall, winter and spring), have been named to the Fall 2017 edition of
the Athletic Director Honor Roll. Overall, the Vulcans posted a cumulative GPA of
3.152 last semester, while 36 student-athletes boasted a perfect 4.00 GPA.
To be eligible for the academic honor, student-athletes must earn a GPA of 3.00 or
higher during the semester. Tennis posted the highest team GPA at 3.639 and featured
four student-athletes on the Honor Roll. On the men's side, baseball posted the top
GPA of the eight sports at 3.208 with 27 student-athletes holding a 3.00 GPA or better.
In terms of pure numbers, football led all sports with 28 representatives on the
Honor Roll, followed by baseball (27), women's track & field (19), women's soccer
(17), softball (16), men's soccer (14), women's cross country (13), swimming (13),
volleyball (12) and men's track & field (10).
